Starting my design career as a Graphic Designer seven years ago, I felt the need to create more empathetic, user-centred designs, that weren’t just based on my own opinions and creativity, but the users needs. I have developed my skills in the world of user-centred design which led me into a UX/UI career. For me, empathy is a critical part of the design process, and impacts all aspects of the work I do. I immerse myself in the user's shoes, understanding their pain points, desires, and expectations.
My experience has led me to prioritise accessibility, user research, in-depth discovery, to carefully craft meaningful experiences for users. I have been able to use these processes to influence my design decisions, which in turn has created a better experience for users. I pride myself on my design skills and my willingness to learn and grow throughout my career. I am always looking for new ways to improve processes for the team and the wider business, like using AI tools such as framer, and within adobe CC.
I am extremely organised and have a meticulous attention to detail, I have often managed design projects, by creating seamless ways to share design files and links with my team as well as stakeholders. I think it is vital to communicate with the wider team, like developers, as early as possible to gain their insights and opinion on my design decisions. I thrive whilst collaborating and by following agile principles.

Working in an agency, I became very comfortable working in a fast paced environment. I’m confident with client communication, presenting my work and rationalising my design decisions. I designed many websites for an array of companies. This included creating pages using a Shopify layout for a well known snack company. I would initially undergo extensive research; into the brand, the user personas, their competitors and Google and social media analytics. I gained experience installing heat mapping software, and analysing the results to inform my design. I follow a full UX process by creating wireframes, user flows and high fidelity mockups using Adobe XD and Figma. I used prototyping to showcase functionality and bring designs to life. In the last 8 months of my time at Wriggle, I gained experience managing another designer, where I would support and help organise their workload and took charge of the design as a whole.
I designed for digital and print, alongside creating marketing materials, running various social media pages and following marketing plans for the companies brands. I used MailChimp for the email campaigns and designed/ran PPC adverts. I worked on a number of video and photography shoots, organising and co-directing them with the rest of the marketing team.
